Is a scholar from this ummah better than a Prophet of Banu Isra’il ?

Some people report that :

“The scholars of my nation are like the Prophets of the Children of Israel”

OR

A Shaykh in his jamaa’ah is like a Nabi in his Ummah

There is a consensus among the ‘ulama themselves that the Prophets are superior to all other people from among the children of Adam, and that there is no one equal to them in excellence even the ‘ulama.

Thus one finds that the following big ‘ulama themselves viz hafiz Ibn Hajr Al-‘Asqalani, ‘Allamah Sakhawi, al-Zarkashi, Mulla ‘Ali Qari (RA) clearly all stated this one to be fabricated. (al-fawa’id al-majmu’ah)

One must revere past and present ‘ulama, but certainly not by lying on the Prophet ﷺ.
